First of all, we wanted to share how proud we are of our 6th graders and their first official day as YMS scholars! Today was about celebrating them and welcoming them into the middle school world! Now that we are officially underway, I wanted to send an
update as well as some important reminders:
Important Update:
Scholars will be able to use their entrance up until 8:15am, instead of the original 8am. After 8:15am, scholars will officially be tardy.
For dismissal, we will start dismissing buses first around 2:55pm, so if you are picking up your scholar as a car rider we will start dismissing them between 3:05pm and 3:10pm.
Reminders:
When dropping off and picking up scholars please refer to the diagram below for the safest and most efficient approach.
The YELLOW lane is for buses ONLY between 7:45am and 8:15am, but after 8:15am anyone dropping off their scholar can do so using the bus lane and drop them off at the main entrance.
The ORANGE lane is the primary drop off and pick up lane, but when that lane fills up, cars then begin to use the RED lane, and if those fill up, then we will utilize the PURPLE which is parking on Bryn Mawr Ave. between the entrance and exit.
Starting tomorrow we have all grades (6th, 7th, 8th) reporting so there will be a lot more traffic, so we are asking our families dropping off to pull to the end of the drop off lane and same for picking up. There are stairs in two locations for scholars to access the upper levels of the parking lot. We will have staff outside to assist with this, especially during the first couple weeks to help everyone get use to the process.
