"The district recognizes there are still many lingering questions about the strike. We acknowledge that temporary online learning is not ideal and may pose challenges. However, as a district, we felt that our scholars still needed to stay engaged in academics and wanted to provide an outlet where they could be in an educational environment while negotiations continued. We encourage our scholars to participate in online learning for enrichment, especially for our high school scholars in credit recovery, where there may be an opportunity for those scholars to work towards recovering credits."

"Online learning is not a replacement for teachers. We are eager to have our scholars back in the classroom and are actively working with the union for a resolution.
